All Blossoming Beginnings landscape designs are custom tailored to owner’s garden aesthetic and climate, incorporating three season appeal and unique plantings. No cookie cutter designs for our clients! We aim to provide a garden that is both unique, beautiful and functional to ensure maximum enjoyment for you and your family.

We install landscape designs featuring various themes: English, Japanese, Sustainable, Cottage, Meadow and more.

Our design process begins with the submission of your design request, then a client meeting is scheduled to conduct a site survey and determine if we are a good fit. A proposal is submitted for your review and project booking. Design consultation fee is $375.

3D landscape DESIGN rendering

We know it can be tough to envision the end project so all landscape design packages feature custom 3D design rendering so you can see what we see! Better than a sketch, we can show you what your mature garden will look like and incorporate landscape design hardscaping like vertical wall planters, paths, patios and pavers. Our clients find this option better than a sketch and easier to read than a blueprint! 

BACKYARD LANDSCAPE DESIGN

In 2020, we were contracted for a multi-year landscape design renovation project for a Demarest home. The property had the potential to be a beautiful, lush escape but was overgrown and key areas had been neglected so the site lacked design cohesion. The new design focused on creating climate appropriate, deer resistant plantings and soil amendment to create a lush backyard oasis.

The following pictures feature the upper backyard deck with sun loving perennials, shade bed stair entrance and rock garden beds enwrapping the pool.

FRONT ENTRANCE LANDSCAPE DESIGN

Pictures below feature the front entrance landscape redesign of the property. The entrance beds which were largely gravel were widened and amended to feature colorful, deer resistant plantings to soften the lines of he contemporary home and make it more inviting.

This Demarest homeowner is an avid nature lover and so her plant palette includes unique perennials like Spotty Dottie Mayapples, Jack Frost Brunnera, Mondo Grass, Ligularia, Pulmonaria, Hellebores and a variety of colorful Coral Bells. Self watering planters by Lechuza flank the doorway featuring Elephant Ears, Asparagus ferns, Sweet Potato Vines, Ivy and Impatiens.

A garden offers a unique opportunity to flex your creativity, accentuating the positive to minimize it’s drawback. The primary challenge of New York gardens is the small size of the lots but by utilizing different planes, think wall, floor, sky, you can create a lush and interesting garden that serves as an escape from the busy metropolis.

Busy, artistic and discriminating homeowners who love texture and creativity is what we found in Harlem, NY.

This brownstone garden features living wall planters by Florafelt, Veradek pots and a traditional garden area with grass for lounging, a stone fountain, outdoor audio and deck pots with fresh herbs. To ensure the garden reaches it’s maximum potential, automated irrigation was installed by Pacific Lawn Sprinklers.

The Living wall planters contain evergreens, perennials and ornamental grasses for year round beauty, creating a wonderful tapestry of textures and colors. To keep the garden looking it’s best, Blossoming Beginnings provides fine gardening and landscape maintenance services throughout the year.

rain garden LANDSCAPE DESIGN

In 2020, we were contracted for a multi-year landscape design renovation project for a Demarest home. The installation is ongoing and this portion of the project was completed in 2023.

The homeowners had experienced flooding in their basement and garden areas that were extremely wet and unusable after any rain storm. Over the years, they had consulted many different contractors who proposed various solutions but none were guaranteed and all were quite expensive (over 10K).

We proposed installing a rain garden which resolved the problem they’d been experiencing for ten years. A simple, cost effective solution that works within nature. Our design features deer resistant perennials. The garden features Native plants and water loving varieties. The end result was beautiful and functional, the homeowners are ecstatic!

COMMERCIAL LANDSCAPE DESIGN

Commercial curb appeal, you either have it, or you don't. If your landscape isn't turning heads, beckoning clients to your front door and distinguishing you from the competition, you're operating at a disadvantage. That disadvantage can equate to lost revenue.

Schultz & Associates, located in Hackensack NJ, understands the difference so after their building underwent extensive renovations, they contacted us for a landscape design makeover that would increase their curb appeal and property investment.

The result was classical garden elegance with three season curb appeal. Design images include pre installation and one year later. All garden beds were amended with compost during the installation resulting in a healthy, vigorous garden. Bulbs and seasonal annuals complete the show for non stop color. Curves were added to enliven the small space and a pristine lawn provided a restful expanse of green.

Low maintenance plantings include: Steeds Holly, Boxwoods, Hydrangeas, Colorado Blue Spruce, Japanese Maple, Blue Fescue, Ferns, Irises and Hosta.
